easily physisorb not only onto CNTs but also on the surface of nanoparticles
the remaining COOH groups of γPGA and the anhydrides of PMHC18 with
hydrophilic PEG chains, thus forming stable amphiphilic complexes. Moreover,
because of the presence of PEG, a prolonged blood circulation of more than
20 hours after intravenous (i.v., through tail vein) injection in mice was
consequence, there was also a delayed clearance of the nanomaterials by the
reticuloendothelial system (RES) of the animals, thus improving the imaging
quality. However, it remains to be considered whether a prolonged circulation
of such complexes is associated with a higher toxicity for the treated mice.
