Another supramolecular complex, based on the combination of SWCNTs
with anthrylcyclodextrin (ACD) and poly-pseudorotaxane (PPR) (Fig. 5.9),
was shown to cleave dsDNA under visible light radiation. 33 The success of the
ensemble was guaranteed by the natural tendency of the cyclodextrins (CDs)
to adhere to CNTs and the ability of the anthryl group to intercalate within
the DNA's groove.
