tioned in edge detector sub-section. In general, this hybrid-based segmenta-
tion demonstrates that a relatively more robust segmentation technique can be
obtained by combining the strengths of segmentation algorithms from different
categories.
2.7 Deformable Model
Deformable model refers to classes of methods that implement an estimated model
of the targeted object using the model constructed by the prior information such
as the texture and shape variability of specific class of object as flexible 2D curves
or 3D surfaces. In 2D cases, these curves deform elastically to by satisfying some
