intensity in soft-tissue regions are identical to the regions in trabecular bones.
The Global thresholding neglects this intensitiy overlapping problem. The
effects can be best illustrated using Fig. 2.2 g-i where the soft-tissue regions
together with the trabecular bone regions are simultaneously segmented.
