I NTRODUCTION
This section presents a summary of the effort to model the deflection dynamics of
iono-elastic beams made of IPMNCs. Strips of these composites can undergo large
bending and flapping displacement if an electric field is imposed across their thick-
ness. IPMNC beams show large deformation in the presence of low applied voltage
