Conclusion
Once you have a good quality cleaned-up photograph, you can either use it as-is, or
use it as reference for a painted texture. There are two schools of thought on this. On
one side, there are artists who prefer to use photos as texture maps. The idea is that
photos are more realistic because they are more detailed and accurate than painted
