When projecting and editing UVs for a model, in only rare cases is it possible to
accomplish both of the following:
Elimination of seams
Elimination of distortion
It is easier to eliminate distortion than seams, and it is often prudent to allow
minimal distortion in order to signifi cantly reduce the number of seams. The fewer
seams there are, the easier it is to paint across edges. However, if the distortion is
