Conclusion
A CG artist who takes care to simplify his work to the minimum possible without
reducing the quality of his work below the target standard is very hard to fi nd and
highly prized when found. An artist who does not do this even if his observational skills
and other qualities mark him as an excellent artist, will always take second-place to the
more effi cient artist. Keep this in mind as you work.

Exercise: Alignment Illusion Part 3
In Chap. 7 , you built an illusion object based on a drawing. The focus of the model was
on the illusion object itself, instead of background elements. To put the lessons of this
chapter into practice, you will analyze the background for optimization opportunities.
