Although most of the decision-making work was already done when you created
the connection manager, it is important to understand the part the source plays in the
Integration Services package. The source is the glue that holds all of the other pieces
together and ensures that you have one place to go to for future maintenance issues or
changes. Setting up the SQL Server source was an easy step to get you warmed up be-
fore you move on to create and optimize the query that the source uses.
