relationship, given that the energy cost of PA plays an important role in
reducing body fat mass. Despite a lack of concrete evidence to prove a causal
association, it is essential that sedentary behaviors in children and adolescents
be decreased because of their inherent contribution to a reduction in EE as
well as due to their role in the promotion of positive energy balance.
