Chick Diary
Despite dire warnings from all the chick lit we read of kicked-up dust from
chicks'scratchingandtheirloud,near-constantpeeping,wedecidedtostartour
newborn chicks in the house. We wanted to spend some serious time with our
newpetsinthecomfortofourhomeratherthanintheunfriendlyspaceofeither
the garage or the basement. We set up a cardboard box lined with wood shav-
ings in our guest bedroom, and it worked out great - probably because we had
