A thriving online community for and about chicken owners and future chicken owners
alike can be found in the form of forums, resources, and more.
THE AMERICAN LIVESTOCK BREEDS CONSERVANCY
http://albc-usa.org The American Livestock Breeds Conservancy is a collection of hob-
byists and breeders of heritage livestock and poultry. These are small-farm soldiers toil-

AMERICAN POULTRY ASSOCIATION
www.amerpoultryassn.com The official chicken-owners' club, the American Poultry As-
sociation is a national organization for the exhibition and breeding of countless types of
chickens. If you want to hang with the big kids, this is the place to be. An APA poultry
show is an amazing way to spend a Saturday. You'll get to see some of the best speci-
mens from hundreds of breeds and varieties, swap business cards, and maybe even walk
out with a purchased pullet tucked under your coat.
BACKYARDCHICKENS.COM
