18.4 Conclusion
This chapter introduced readers to Genetica and explored how it was used by De-
jobaan Games to realize significant productivity gains in bitmap asset production,
as well as a few additional techniques of relevance to game projects in general. Like
any flexible art tool, while there are many ways to approach the creation of each
asset, they are far from equal in terms of production eciency. We touched on key
techniques such as node-grouping and component reuse, which allow Genetica's full
potential to be realized.
