Figure 11.34. The Fly Ginza logo.
Ifyou'lllookatthealphachannel,younoticethatthisimagehasanalphachannel
that outlines the Fly Ginza text.
The best way to know how to layer this is to open it in Photoshop and see what
the layering operations are and what opacity is used. If you can't do that, then it's
just guesswork. I did it, so follow my instructions.
13. Click Shuffle2 and press M on the keyboard to insert a Merge node.
14. Connect Merge2's B input to Shuffle1 and view Merge2 in the Viewer.
This looks nothing like what the RGBA channels look like. You need to change
the Operation property for Merge2 to Plus to mimic Photoshop's operation.
15. Change Merge2's Operation property to Plus.
That's better—now for the next layer.
16. Click Shuffle3 and insert another Merge node after it.
17. Connect Merge3's B input to Merge2, and view Merge3.
Again, this needs some tweaking, as this texture is hardly there in the final com-
posite.
18. ChangeMerge3'sOperationpropertytoColor-dodgeandreducetheMixproperty
to 0.2.
Now the last layer:
19. Click Shuffle4 and insert another Merge node after it.
20. Connect Merge4's B input to Merge3 and view Merge4 ( FIGURE 11.35 ) .
