Insteadofhavingtokeepchangingtwonodesconstantly,youcancreateacloneoftheex-
isting ScanlineRender node. A clone means that there are two instances of the same node.
One is an exact copy of the other. Both have the same name, and if you change a property
in one, it is reflected in the other.
1. Select ScanlineRender1 and press Alt/Option-K to create a clone.
Notice that cloned nodes have an orange line connecting them to show the rela-
tionship. They also have an orange C icon at the top left of the node to indicate
they are clones.
2. Connect ShotCamera to the Cam input of the newly cloned ScanlineRender1.
3. Drag from the newly cloned ScanlineRender1 node's Obj/scn input to Sphere1's
output.
4. Drag and let go on the pipe leading from Sphere1 to Scene1 to disconnect it.
5. Select the original ScanlineRender1 and press the M key to create a Merge node.
6. Connect Merge1's B input to the new cloned ScanlineRender1 ( FIGURE 11.25 ).

You have now made a composite between two separate 3D scenes. The Scanline-
Rendernodesarecloned,soifyouchangesomethinginoneitchangesintheoth-
er.
