Chapter 10. Camera Tracking
Nuke 6.0v1 introduced the much-anticipated Camera Tracker to Nuke. The Camera
Tracker enables Nuke to extract the camera location and movement from a moving
shot. It uses a lot of
tracking points
, also called
features
, which are generated auto-
matically. Then, through calculations of the parallax movement of different planes, it
canextract thecamera information, whichincludes itslocation androtationonevery
frame as well as its field of view (parallax is explained in the following note). The
trackingpointsusedtocreatethecamerainformationforma
point cloud
,arepresent-
ation in 3D space of the location of each of these points.
