Now let's load another image and view it:
3. HoveryourmousepointerovertheNodeGraphandpressRonthekeyboard.The
File Browser opens again.
Notice howpressingRwhilehoveringthemousepointerintheViewerandinthe
Node Graph produces different results.
4. Double-click the file named backplate_graded.####.jpg to bring it into Nuke.
You now have another Read node in your interface. If one Read node is overlap-
ping the other you can click and drag one of them to make space. Let's view the
new Read node as well.
5. Select the new Read node by clicking it once and pressing 1 on the keyboard.
You now see the new image, which is a graded (color corrected) version of the
previous image. Otherwise, the two images are the same.
Viewer inputs
Any Viewer in Nuke has up to 10 different inputs and it's very easy to connect nodes to
these inputs in order to view them. Simply by selecting a node and pressing a number on
the keyboard (like you pressed 1 before) you're connecting the node to that number input
oftheViewer.Thiswillresultinseveraldifferentpartsoftheprocesstreebeingconnected
to the same Viewer. You will then be able to change what you're looking at in the Viewer
with ease.
Let'sconnectthefirstReadnodetothefirstViewerinputandthesecondReadnodetothe
second Viewer input.
1. Select the first Read node (Read1) and press 1 on the main part of the keyboard.
2. Select the second Read node (Read2) and press 2 on the the keyboard ( FIGURE
1.21 ) .
