14. In Axis1's Properties panel, change the rotate.x (that's the first field in the Rotate
property) to −90 to rotate the camera to its right alignment.
15. The camera is gone again from the Viewer. Select it again in the DAG and press
the F key again to frame the Viewer to the camera.
The camera is now straight and ready.
Creating a cube
Wouldn't you like to see if the camera does indeed match the background? For that you
need to create a cube, texture it, and place it on the floor of the shot, then see if it stays
put.
1. Create a Cube node from the 3D/Geometry toolbox.
For the texture you will use a simple checkerboard.
2. Deselect Cube1 and create a CheckerBoard node from the Image toolbox.
3. View CheckerBoard1 in the Viewer.
4. Press the Tab key while hovering your mouse pointer in the Viewer to switch to
the 2D Viewer.
You don't need a full HD texture—something smaller will do.
5. From CheckerBoard1's Properties panel, choose Square_1k from the Format
drop-down menu.
