In-Depth Information
To get started with a Dope Sheet, the first thing to do is create two keyframes for all the
brush strokes on the same frames. You will then stagnate the keyframes using the Dope
Sheet so the letters appear to get drawn one after the other.
1. All the brush strokes that draw the text should already be selected in the Stroke/
Shape List window. If they aren't, select them again.
2. Go to frame 1 in the Timebar. This is where the animation will start.
3. Click the Stroke tab in RotoPaint1's Properties panel.
4. Change the Write On End property to 0.
5. Right-click (Ctrl-click) the field and and choose Set Key from the contextual
menu ( FIGURE 6.66 ). This will set keyframes for all the selected brush strokes.

Now for the second keyframe.
6. Go to frame 11 in the Timebar.
7. Bring the Write On End property to 1.
8. Click Play in the Viewer.
At the moment, all the letters are being written at once. You can stagger this so
that the first letter is written first and so on.
9. In the bottom left pane, switch from the Node Graph tab to the Dope Sheet tab.
What you should be seeing is something similar to FIGURE 6.67 .
