In-Depth Information
The whole file name should now be doll_v02.####.png. Going up a version (and
going down) is as easy as that.
2. To render a new version, press F5 on your keyboard (hot key for Render All) and
then click OK.
Comparing images
It would be great to compare the two versions. Any Viewer in Nuke has up to 10 different
inputs, and it's very easy to connect nodes to these inputs to view them as you did in
Chapter 1 . You can also split the screen in the Viewer as long as the images are connected
to two of the Viewer's inputs.
When the render is finished, compare the previous render to this one in the Viewer. Let
me walk you through this.
1. While hovering your mouse pointer over the DAG, press R on the keyboard to
display a Read File browser.
2. Navigate to the student_files directory and double-click doll_v01.####.tif to load
it in.
YounowhaveRead4withthepreviousrender;Write1canbecomethenewrender
by turning it into a Read node like so:
3. In Write1 click the Read File check box.
To compare the two versions, you will now load each one to a different buffer of
the Viewer, then use the Viewer's composite controls to compare them.
4. Click Read4 and press 1 on the keyboard.
5. Click Write1 and press 2 on the keyboard ( FIGURE 2.60 ) .
