5. You can now open the serial monitor to test the sketch. Again, you will notice that
there is some lag compared to the USB connection, and the serial monitor can
take a few seconds to open. Now, simply type in m and this is what you should
get:
If you can see the measurements being printed out on the serial monitor, it means that the
sensor is working correctly. It also means that the project is responding as expected when
it receives the signal to measure data.
If you cannot see the measurements at this point, the first step is to check your wiring.
Also, make sure that the Bluetooth module is correctly paired with your computer. Usu-
ally, you can easily see that information by checking the Bluetooth preferences panel of
your operating system again. If the serial interface opens but you can't see that the data is
being printed out after you send the measurement command, it means that the problem
could have been triggered by the DHT sensor. In this case, make sure that you correctly
wired the sensor and inserted the resistor between the signal and the VCC pins.
