The ā€œjā€ in Neo4j stands for Java , and the Java Development Kit (JDK) is required to run it. So before unpacking the
download archive, make sure you have Oracle's JDK installed on your computer. If you already have the JDK installed,
make sure it is at least version 7. If you need to install it, then be sure to use the latest stable version of JDK7. After you
have installed JDK7 or verified that it has already been installed, you can proceed to the next section depending on
your preferred operating system
