Figure 7-7: Important face loops. A good tip when doing
retopology is to view your new mesh on its own by pressing
/ (forward slash) to view just the selected objects. This will let
you see how your retopologized mesh is progressing before
pressing / to return to global view and continue modeling.

( alt -B) makes it easier to work on tight areas. Hit alt -B again
to return the display to normal.
Creating new topology that bridges the join
between the wings and body is as simple as continu-
ing to retopologize over the join (see Figure 7-10,
which shows the mesh covering both the wing and
shoulder of the Bat Creature). Doing so allows you
to create a single mesh that combines the wings and
body (see Figure 7-11).
