5. In the 2D Preview, click the Free support icon at the far-left end of
the preview, and drag it to the middle of the rightmost section. See
Figure 8.9.

6. Click the Load icon, and the Loads & Supports area will change to show
the type of load that is being used.
7. Double-click the Load icon to open the dialog box, showing the prop-
erties of the load.
8. Change the force to 200 N, and click OK to close the dialog box.
9. Click the Calculate button, and then click the Graphs tab.
10. The Shear Force graph shows the results.
11. Click the Deflection graph in the Graph Selection area to see that the
deflection of this shaft is 0.811 micron (Figure 8.10).

12. Click OK to close the dialog box.
