4. Click and drag the new plane until its value reads 80 or type in the value.
5. Click the OK icon to create the plane.
Similar filters can also be found for work axis and work point features.
The work plane you created will be used to build a sketch. It is also possible to
start a new sketch, click a face or plane, and drag as you did in this exercise and
simultaneously create a new plane and sketch on it.
Using a Fillet to Close a Gap
If you look closely at the model you are about to open, you will see a gap
between the cylinder on the top and the main body. In these situations, applying
an edge fillet is not possible because the faces do not intersect. In these cases, a
face fillet will bridge a fillet across gaps.
1. Make certain that the 2013 Essentials project file is active, and then
open c07-15.ipt from the Parts\Chapter7 folder.
2. Start the Fillet tool from the marking menu or the Ribbon.
3. Change the option in the mini-toolbar (or dialog box) to the Face
Fillet option.
4. Click the cylindrical face of the Top Boss feature and one of the large
curved faces just below it.
With the default options, you need to click only two faces.
5. Selecting the faces causes the tool to preview a fillet that can solve
between the faces.
6. Set the radius to 3, and click OK from the mini-toolbar (Figure 7.24)
to generate the fillet.

between faces can close a gap.
You can use this option to close large gaps or problematic edges.
