10. Click OK to update the model.

11. In the browser, right-click the ExtrusionSrf1 feature, and then dese-
lect Visibility.

Another tool that can be used for this is Sculpt, which you'll use in Chapter 9,
“Creating Plastic Parts.” Replace Face is more basic and works well for substituting
geometry.

Mirroring

Pattern tools reduce the tedium of creating repeated features. Creating a mirror
feature can save work when there is symmetry in the part.

Objective

1. Make certain that the 2013 Essentials project file is active, and then
open c07-13.ipt from the Parts\Chapter​7 folder.
The Mirror tool is located in the Pattern panel of the 3D Model tab.

2. Start the Mirror tool.

3. In the Mirror dialog box, select the Mirror A Solid option.
Choosing this option will limit your selection option to clicking the
mirror plane.

4. Click the XY Plane under the Origin folder, and click OK to create the
full body shown in Figure 7.22.
