8. Locate the parts list above the title block and against the right border
of the drawing. The parts list will snap into place. See Figure 6.22.

TIP If the parts list is based on the structure of the BOM, that struc-
ture can be represented in the parts list as well. The parts list would show a
parent component and the tree of its child components.
The initial size of the columns and other properties of the parts list are con-
trolled by the style and standards. This is another element that will likely be set
once within a company and left alone.
