5. Find the Selection drop-down on the Quick Access toolbar, and
change the current selection priority to Part Priority by selecting it
from the list.
6. Hold the Ctrl key to select the screw and the washer. Right-click the
edge of one of the parts, and then select Section Participation from
the context menu.
7. When the menu expands, select Section.
The view regenerates with the screw and washer affected by the
break out section, and therefore, they disappear.
8. Select the gear, and choose None from the Section Participation options.
9. Select the seal, and then choose Section.
This will again update the view to show the seal sectioned around the shaft.
These changes will each update the view to appear like Figure 6.6.

Part Visibility
If the screw and washer in the previous exercise weren't in a section or break out
view, it would be possible to just remove the visibility. To do this, you must break
the association between the drawing view and the design view of the assembly
using the view edit dialog box. This has been done for you in the file referenced
in the next exercise.
1. Verify that the 2013 Essentials project file is active, and then open
c06-05.idw from the Drawings\Chapter​6 folder.
