4. Select the top face of the bottom extrusion as the plane for the hole
to begin.
5. Click the nearest 14 mm fillet face for the concentric reference.
6. Drag the hole's diameter by clicking and dragging the ring that
appears on the face to see how this can be approximated.

edges to locate the
hole but can also be
used to “rough in” a
hole by not setting a
location.
7. Set the hole type to Clearance for an ISO 24017 Hex Head Cap Screw
with an M10 thread and Normal fit. See Figure 3.29.
8. Make sure the Termination setting is Through All.
9. Click OK to place the hole feature.

You can make the bolt pattern across the bottom plate in several ways. For
instance, you can repeat the Hole command for each corner or do a rectangular
pattern or since the first feature is centered on the z-axis of the part, you can
use a circular pattern.
Creating a Circular Pattern
Now you will make three more holes the easy way, and they will be associative to
any change to the original hole:

1. Make certain that the 2013 Essentials project file is active, and then
open the c03-16.ipt file.
2. Select the Circular Pattern tool from the Pattern panel of the 3D
Model tab.
