Music at SFSU
One of the early dreams for the Web was the same as the early dreams for television—that it would
be a home for science, art, music, and much more that's uplifting.
At a time when I Can Haz Cheezburger, a site hosting captioned photos of cats, is a big hit,
perhaps the dream has not been fully dreamt quite yet. But the JPLL Music News site at http:
//jpllmusicnews.wordpress.com is inspiring, both from a design point of view as well as its content.
The site is shown in Figure D.3.
This site is an example of robust use of different design, along with lots of graphics, video, and
audio.
The blog bravely uses white on black, and even orange on black, text. We find it a bit hard to read,
but it's different and interesting looking.
