WordPress.com, and just how many famous people and organizations
don't feel the need to hassle with directly using the software from
WordPress.org.
Famous Quotes
The Web is perhaps the single greatest machine for looking up quotes
ever invented. It's certainly enriched our writing.
The Quotes Famous Quotes site doesn't even have its own URL—it's at
http://quotes.wordpress.com, as shown in Figure D.1. It uses a very
ordinary template—the header is even the famous WordPress blue. Yet
it's full of life and individuality.
It has integrated Twitter updates, comments with images, and more.
You can do all of this yourself on your own blog.
Or, you can just look at the cool quotes. Here's a favorite of ours, from
Lisa Hoffman, the wife of Dustin Hoffman and owner of a skin care and
fragrance line: “Love is like pi—natural, irrational, and very important.”
