The intercap in gvDaily—a capital letter in the middle of a word—tries to emphasize this, emphasiz-
ing the use of a lowercase gv as an abbreviation rather than the uppercase GV. (It's all the same to
the browser, which would go to the site no matter which letters someone did or didn't capitalize.)
We spell all this out (no pun intended) to illustrate some of the issues that go into choosing a
domain name.
Another issue is that you don't always get it right the first time. Figure 10.4 shows the contents of
the Domains area for the Upgrades menu in the Administration area for gvDaily.com. Note that the
blog was briefly named GetGoogleVoice.com. This name worked well for gaining traffic—lots of
people want to get, or obtain, Google Voice—but it was the wrong kind of traffic, as people who
reached the site really wanted to be on the Google site where they could get a Google Voice phone
number.

expensive.
The gvDaily name seems to have worked better in terms of getting the right kind of traffic and
being catchy and interesting for publicity; however, it was still a shock to lose the traffic that had
been coming for the wrong reason.
Using Audio in Your Blog
Audio is a very powerful means of communication. It can be used for primarily musical purposes
(with or without words) or primarily for speech (with or without background music).
