in your WordPress image storage area.

However, if you need to work on your image after uploading it, the new image editor is a good
option.
Using an Image from Your Computer in Your Post
If you are creating or editing a post and click the Add an Image button, you have several options.
The first option you are presented with is to upload an image from your computer. You can also
insert an image from a URL (that is, stored elsewhere on the Web) or an image that's already in the
Media Library. Those options are described in the next couple of sections.
Follow these steps to insert an image from your computer, by first uploading it to the Media Library,
then inserting it:
1. While creating or editing a post, click the Add an Image button. The Add an Image dialog box
opens. It has three tabs: From Computer, From URL, and Media Library. The first tab, From
Computer, is selected by default.
2. Click the Select Files button. Select the file from your hard disk, as described in step 2 of the pre-
vious section. Once you select the file, additional fields appear in the dialog box—the same fields
