II
Follow these steps to manage your blog's tags directly:
note
You should capitalize tags appro-
priately to the way you mean them.
Capital letters are ignored in
searches, but when people see a
list of tags associated with your
post, they'll recognize the tag
much better if you've capitalized it
as you mean to use it. This is
where the difference between a
President “Ford” and to “ford” a
river can be quite important.
1. In the Administration area for your blog, in the left col-
umn, choose the Posts header, then Post Tags.
2. The Tags management page appears, as shown in
Figure 5.8.
3. To add a tag, enter the Tag Name, and enter a Description
if it's supported by your blog's theme. Click the Add Tag
button to add the tag.
It doesn't really make a lot of sense to add a tag sepa-
rately from adding a post, unless your theme shows tag
descriptions—in which case, the opportunity to edit the
tag description is the reason to enter the tag here.
4. To modify a tag, hover the mouse cursor over its name to make editing options appear, as shown
in the figure. The options are Edit (step 5), Quick Edit (step 6), and Delete (step 7).
