When converting an element into a symbol, the element is not actually
changed, but packaged in a symbol container. This means it is removed from
its original Timeline and re-assigned to the new Timeline inside the symbol. The
symbol container itself is a native Edge Animate construct that provides various
functions (Edge Animate API) to access child elements and navigate in the com-
position hierarchy, such as accessing the parent symbol.
