Boat
Charter Yacht
All of the island's major resorts have marinas where you can charter yachts or powerboats,
either with a crew or a 'bareboat.' Crewed boats come with a skipper and crew, and you
don't need any prior sailing experience. With bareboat charters, you rent the boat and be
your own skipper.
Charter companies include the following:

Castillo Watersports( www.castillotours.com )

Ferry
MaritimeTransportationAuthority(ATM; 787-863-0705) has large, high-speed fer-
ries that run from Fajardo to Culebra and Vieques. While timetables can be changeable, the
boats are generally quick and reliable. See Click here and Click here for details.
Note: reservations go quickly for boats bound for the islands on Friday evening to
Saturday morning, and returning to Fajardo on Sunday afternoon to Monday morning, so
plan ahead.
Frequency Multiple ferries leave for Vieques and Culebra daily. Ferries between the two
islands were suspended at the time of research. In high season island residents get priority
over visitors. Schedules change frequently; no reliable information can be found to confirm
these on the internet and the phone is often not answered.
Reservation No advance reservations are possible for the ferry to Culebra or Vieques. Fer-
ries do sell out in summer. Arrive one hour early to buy tickets at the ticket office or queue
up for the ticket sellers to show up.
Tickets Buy tickets at the dock, one hour before departure. There are no ticket sales on
board. In summer, arrive one to two hours prior to departure.
