Bleu Bar & Tapas NIGHTCLUB

thumping, stainless steel-dressed confines of this large dance club. There's a small cover
when notable DJs are on the turntables, and a menu of fried snacks to help you soak up the
booze.

Getting There & Away
Air
The Aeropuerto de Mayagüez is about 3 miles north of town, just off Hwy 2. Cape Air
( 800-352-0714; www.flycapeair.com ) currently has several flights daily to and from
San Juan ($81 one-way). Continental Airlines ( www.continental.com ) also flies directly
to Mayagüez from several cities in the US.
Car & Motorcycle
Hwy 2, part of the island's nominal ring road, brings you to town from the north or south.
While this is a four-lane road, it is plagued by traffic lights. Hwy 105 is the west end of the
Ruta Panorámica, which leads from Mayagüez into the mountains and to Maricao.
Ferry
For years, Mayagüez was Puerto Rico's gateway to the Dominican Republic, at least by
sea, but recently the operator, Ferries del Caribe ( 787-832-4800) ended its thrice-
weekly runs across the Pasaje de la Mona due to a dispute with the Mayagüez Port Author-
