Designer Keiko Kobayashi and American entrepreneur Doug Schafer, President of Toyo Beverages in Japan,
set out to design a package for their sugar sticks that fit the company's brand. The new box shown here makes
good use of empty space and shows the product in a way that leads the eyes to the center logo and name.
Says Schafer: “We were trying to achieve something visually eyecatching while allowing the customer to know
what was inside the package. The package also allowed for versatility as you could turn it three ways so each
retailer could display in a slightly different way if needed to meet their needs and ours.”
