The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Marine
Sanctuary group commissioned Duarte Design to create a presentation to motivate
policy makers to take action toward securing the Gulf of Mexico as a marine
sanctuary. The creative process involved developing three very distinct and broadly
varied solutions to communicate the cause. The final solution employed hand-drawn
infographics and type overlaid on photos with a distressed texture around the edges
that gave the presentation a revolutionary feel. (The slides here represent about a
third of the visuals used.)
