Physically induced resistance
Induction of NDR in horticultural crops using physical
elicitors has received increasing attention over recent
years. The primary mode of action of many physical
treatments is disinfection of the commodity. Thus, fungal

spores and mycelial infections on and in the outer cell
layers of fruit or vegetables are removed and/or destroyed.
Low temperature storage, wounding, CO 2 treatment, heat
