Cross-Sell Analysis Report
the second out-of-the-box merchandising report is the cross-sell analysis report.
cross-sell analysis might be too grand a term for what Yahoo! provides. this
report shows products sold together within a shopping cart or even within different
shopping carts during the same visit. analyzing your customers' acquisition patterns
allows you to fine-tune your cross-selling efforts by offering products that are known
to sell together. this is all good but might be too simple a way to look at cross-sell
strategies.
combining cross-sell analysis and campaign segmentation can provide you with
real insight. You cannot create the cross-sell analysis report using the custom Report
Wizard, so having a look at this particular report once in a while is not a bad idea.
Figure 10.18 shows a sample cross-sell analysis report.

Figure 10.18 lists our most popular products, sorted by revenue. We can expand
the tree and see the top 10 products sold in conjunction with each product.
the cross-sell analysis report is also a good example of how you can choose to
use the Yahoo! Web analytics it tutor (see Figure 10.19).
