Finally, you can apply your company corporate identity to the email as a top-
centered giF or Jpg file. Adding a logo can sometimes increase the perceived validity
of the information and the number of people reading it. Figure 7.17 shows the screen
where you can upload your logo.

As an alternative to emails, you can choose to have the reports uploaded to an
Ftp server on a scheduled basis. this is a data export functionality more than a sched-
uled email. For this to work, you have to have set up an Ftp connection and use this
select destination for your scheduled data transfers. enter an email address that will be
used in case of Ftp upload error.

Building custom reports and segmenting your data (discussed in the next section) are
the two skills you need to reach the highest level of data analysis and professional pol-
ish in Yahoo! Web Analytics.
most of the reports available in the system today can be customized, or you can
build a completely new report from scratch. i tend to find the report that is closest to
what i need and then mold that into the new report needed to answer my question.
And if i am creating a report that is an answer to a recurring question, i will save it
and then access the bookmarked report next time that question crops up.
You can access the Customize Report feature in two ways. either click the Cus-
tomize Report icon on the report header, or select settings
>
Build Custom Reports.
either way you end up in the Custom Report Wizard. the only visible action is that,
if you have multiple projects and are creating a brand-new report, you have to choose
which project you want to build it for. this is preselected if you are already in a project
report and start to customize it.
looking at a simple report like the one shown in Figure 7.18, we might notice a
trend or something out of the ordinary.
