When you edit or add new events, be sure to include an accurate event name and
detailed description, but most of all, think about how you will define the type of event,
scope, and date:
Type of Event the two choices of Holiday or Website Change are a bit limited, but i
expect Yahoo! to expand on this. type of event is mostly for classification only and
has no impact on the event or data comparison done on the event.
Scope You can create both sitewide and site-specific events for the most Requested
pages and the entry pages reports and so on, whereas for other reports where you are
not looking at specific pages, you can only create sitewide events.
Date Apply the date or date range when this event is active so that you and other
system users are able to see events that are within the reporting period.
Activate a new event by clicking the events icon just below the chart area,
which will expand an area showing the active event for the period in question (see
Figure 7.8).
