All this alert chatter and setup leaves you with one task, which is for you to go
fetch a diet soda, sit back, and relax and wait for an alert email. until that happens,
everything is supposedly cool.
the alert email is simple and does the job, even though it is not nicely designed
(see Figure 7.5).

Event Management
event management is administered the same way as alerts, but it is a completely
different animal. the event management feature allows you to keep track of events
that might impact your website's metrics, such as website changes, public holidays,
marketing campaigns, or system outages. this feature enables you to schedule these
events and examine their effects on your website. For example, you can schedule
a website change and then compare the metrics before and after the change took
place.
