Note
The
Unique
and
Ascending
checkboxes are disabled by default for file geodata-
bases; however, they can be enabled for enterprise geodatabases depending on the
underlying relational database system. This will be discussed in
Chapter 6

to close the dialog to return to the indexes form.
11. You will see that the
IND_NAME
index has been created on the
NAME
field,
and now all queries against the
NAME
field will be optimized. Click on
Apply
