The concept of adding a picture, video, or file, for that matter, is called geodatabase at-
tachment. This is a built-in option in ArcGIS that creates all the necessary related tables,
which we will see and work on in the upcoming sections.
Note
Geodatabase attachment is a new feature in ArcGIS, which allows you to attach files to an
existing dataset and store the files in a binary format. This, in turn, affects the size of the
geodatabase depending on the attached objects.
