In-Depth Information
The next day I went with Shelley, a university student I met at church, a couple of
times to the 'coloured area' to volunteer at a mobile soup kitchen.
I also kept myself busy during that week by presenting at Rhenish Girls High
School (the nation's oldest school), going on a scenic tour of the Cape to see the flowers,
and visiting the Atlantic Ocean. (When I reached out to feel the Atlantic for the first time,
the Atlantic felt me instead. A rogue wave hit me and knocked me off my feet, to the
amusement of everyone.) Finally, Gavin took me to Cape Town by car for an interview on
Radio Good Hope FM with Steve Wood and then to SABC's affiliate radio station.
Ahhh…thepowerofradio!TheRadioGoodHopeturnedouttobeagreatinterview
and I had a wonderful experience later on in the week because of it (I'll elaborate soon.)
