The next morning's road was mainly along a valley floor with green hills rising on

hills just to rest the chain and of course my cycling legs. There were large pineapple and
coconut plantations next to the road but sadly, as I got closer to the border, the amount of
deforestation became increasingly appalling.
I arrived at the Ghanaian border by lunchtime. The Côte d'Ivoire officials were
very friendly as I left the country and they wished me a good journey. However, the
Ghanaian officials were a different story.
