If the problem is that a LANE Client cannot reach the “UP, operational” state (that is, the LANE
Client is down or cannot join the ELAN), locate which service (LES, LECS, BUS) is preventing the
LEC to go up.
•
Create a map of your network clearly indicating the location of the LECS/LES/BUS.
•
Take the output of
show lane
on every key device. That is where the active LECS/LES/BUS
elements are and where the LANE Clients giving problems are.
•
If you are using a VP tunnel to a remote site, provide the contract details for this VP.
