Setting up the X.509 Certificate involves a bit more work. At the same Access Identi-
fiers page is a section titled X.509 Certificate , as seen in figure 9.2. You click on Create
New to generate a new X.509 certificate. A certificate has two keys: a public key and a
private key. Unlike the Access Key ID and the Secret Access Key, the public and private
keys in your X.509 certificate are hundreds of characters long, and they have to be
stored and managed as files. After creating a new X.509 certificate, you'll arrive at a
page to download both keys/files. See figure 9.3.
